Lithgow Library Capital Campaign

Amanda Bartlett

A small business owner and nearly lifelong resident of Augusta, Amanda is passionate about her hometown community and focuses many volunteer hours on organizations that enrich the lives of children. Amanda currently serves as President of the Friends of Lithgow Library and is a founding member of a new non-profit, Literacy Lane, which focuses on child and family literacy. She is also currently a member At-Large of the Augusta Board of Education, past Vice-President of the Augusta Downtown Alliance and actively serves on the City of Augusta’s Strategic Communications Committee.

Amanda’s business, Bartlett Inspection Services, provides training, consulting and inspection services to the affordable housing industry. She is passionate about ensuring our most vulnerable neighbors have equal access to decent, safe, affordable housing. In that same vein, Amanda believes that libraries work to level the playing field for community members of all backgrounds and economic status by providing free access to information and technology. She attributes much of her success in life to her childhood experiences at Lithgow Library and believes that the renovation and expansion of Lithgow will ensure that countless other children and adults have the same opportunities in the future.
